DANGEROUS LIASIONS.

I am a fan of Stephanie Meyer. I love her works. I love her literature. I love her plots and twists. To add to that, Yes. I love Edward Anothony Masen Cullen.
No. Not Rob Pattinson.
Not the movie.
I like the fiction character. I like the Edward in the book. Somehow, dear Edward isn't portrayed well and fully in the movie. Then again, this is my opinion. I know its very controversial. Rob Pattinson isn't hot. He isn't as hot as Edward portrayed in the book. People who actually read the Twilight series before going gaga over the movies alone might understand what I mean by this.

;)

The thing is, I'm getting disturbed with the increasing number of people who go around saying they're obsessed with characters from Twilight. Suddenly, everywhere you go, if you were to mention, "Twili..." these people just arghhh.
Annoying.

It seems like a bloody good time to ask a question:
“Huh?”
After all, vampires have been around awhile. So why this new burst of enthusiasm for the undead?
EFFING GOOD QUESTION.

Reason: (referrals to net)
Vampires symbolize everything from sex fantasies to escapism from swine flu worries to darker social issues.

Perfect example:EDWARD.
“Edward is a very romantic, smoldering figure"
Girls love the image of a damaged, morally questionable young man who nevertheless can serve as her protector while she reforms him. What better way to invest a character with such qualities than to make him a protective vampire, bad by nature, but good by inclination.

Haha. I can't imagine the reaction people would get if these fantasized vampires that they're crazy about was like the hideous LOCAL GHOSTS that we Asians hear about all the time. Vampires from the other countries always look so good huh?
;D

XOXO.
